Hybrid acid machine
acid8 MKII
acid8 MKII is a compact acid machine with a brutal 8-bit core, analog filter and VCA, and a sequencer that makes twisted basslines feel immediate.
Digital bite into analog pressure
The oscillator starts in 8-bit territory and refuses to stay clean. Choose from 16 waveforms, automate them per step, redraw your own shapes, and push the signal into strange harmonics with bit-level tricks and DSP processing.
After that digital abuse, the sound hits a fully analog VCA and resonant low-pass filter that gives patterns their weight, snap, and squelch.
Acid workflow without the drag
acid8 MKII is fast where it needs to be: enter notes, slides, waveform changes, and motion without breaking the line you are building. It works well as a compact acid box, but it also rewards people who want a more broken and synthetic edge.
Highlights
- Hybrid acid machine with 8-bit oscillator, analog VCA, and resonant low-pass filter
- 16 waveforms with per-step automation and editable custom shapes
- Multiple DSP tricks for bit crushing, sample-rate reduction, inversion, and more
- Envelope pitch modulation and fast motion options for percussive sounds
- Step sequencer built for slides, variation, and repeatable acid phrasing
- MIDI sync for locking into a larger performance rig
